I love FAUX anything! I love using faux leather on my paintings or in my journal, especially since I do not wear real leather. This is a great way to play with paper bags and water and make cool looks! You don’t even have to stay within the normal leather colors! Try different shades of pinks or purples or whatever you like! Hey everyone…It has been a little while since I was able to blog. Many of you know I have so many health issues and they keep piling on. Between the RA and Fibro and other things, seems like my kidneys are being effected so it is Ultrasound on Tuesday for my kidneys and pelvis and then see from there. I went to my specialist this past Tuesday and he commented how he hasn’t seen anyone on as much medicine as I am, which was so comforting lol. We are also going through things with my daughter who is 17 and they think she has RA so we will be going to Rheumy on Thursday for her. I will take on 20 more illnesses if it would mean she wouldn’t have it, so please keep your fingers crossed. I got ill at 28 and I am now 43–she is only 17 so I can’t imagine her living a life with it. We have not had a break since my son died 2 1/2 years ago and I am hoping we win the lottery or something good comes our way. My poor husband has his own issues with his back crumbling and he has alot on him taking care of us and working. He is a freelance writer so we are lucky he works from home. Anyway.. This wasn’t a poor me post…I know we all have our battles to fight. Art helps me so very much. It just gets me out of my zone and into a peaceful one for a little bit to escape. I know it works like that for alot of us. I am very Blessed to have all my AWESOME subscribers on my youtube channel and I love showing products, Art and cheaper ways to make art products. I only show the ones that truly work and I truly use. I have gotten message after message of thankful people and fantastic comments and I feel so Blessed. So THANK YOU!

I have not done a Mixed Media Canvas since my son died and I forgot how long it takes!! 1. Why and when did you start blogging?
I started blogging around 1999-2000. I was a stay at home mom and had alot of things I loved to do and share. I started with recipes, knitting, kids crafts and grew from there.
2. What is something you really want your followers to know about you?
HA! I am an open book! I think everyone who knows me knows that. I try to be fair and understanding and I am a helper. I love helping people with questions or showing things to get them on their journey. I am honest and get ready for it…1…..2….3…. I AM VERY LOUD! It is the Italian in me!!!
3. What is your favorite part of running a blog?
Writing and Inspiring people. And writing whatever i want to write about!
4. Where do you find your blogging inspiration?
Other peoples blogs, youtube, nature, magazines…EVERYWHERE!
5. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
I want to still be blogging and I want my own place that I can teach kids Art and Adults to come and play and do different types of Art. I want my family to be healthy and to hit the LOTTERY (and not for 4.00 lol)
6. If money wasn’t an issue, what would your dream career be?
ABSOLUTELY TEACH ART AND OTHER FORMS OF CREATIVITY and I would have a farm and own a Animal Rescue. I am such a animal freak and have rescued for over 15 years and they make my heart melt. Saving an animal is so fulfilling. So those two things!
7. What is your favorite color and what does it say about you?
Purple..it is creative and calming…hmmmm….im not a calming person…go figure lol BUT it makes me happy!
8. If you could be an animal what animal would you be and why?
A shark….I have always been obsessed with them and wanted to be an oceanographer when little and I just love them and they are some badasses!
9. In your opinion what is the best thing about where you live?

It has to be New beginnings for me. It took alot for me to write it but I was at a point that a change was needed and it ended up being a change for the better. I love working with polymer clay, but i love even more the emails I get from all of you on what else you would like to learn! I got several requests for a ladder cane so I made a video on it today to show how easy it really is. Doing these clay videos are so much fun and these are great to do with the kids! It can teach them colors and coordination. Plus when they are finished and its baked they have something they made themselves. think about going through the canes on my channel and having the kids make Holiday gifts for family members! You can buy an inexpensive wood frame from the dollar store or craft store and they can decorate it with clay!

Sometimes when I am down, uninspired or just want to play I have certain things I do to lift my spirits and my creativity. This is one of the things I love to do. As I say in the video, on a day when you are feeling “ok” make a bunch of these pages as if you are making a coloring book to have for when you are having a down day and then you can sit and color with whatever you want-paint, markers, crayons….whatever you like to use! I hope you like this and it always seems to lift my spirits!
